Description
You are bidding on an originalComplementary Ticket
given out by the
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus
sometime during the 1941 season.
As part of the “cost of doing business,” Ringling and other circuses gave out a number of complementary tickets in each town they played.
Most of these went to influential city officials such as chiefs of police, fire marshals, city inspectors, etc. as well as to newspaper editors and reporters, store owners who allowed posters to be put up on their buildings, and just about anyone who was in a position to help out the circus in some way.
This nice example comes from a non-smoking household and is in good condition for being 80 years old.
We’ve provided high resolution images of the front and back, so
please study them carefully as they are an important part of the auction description
.
It will be shipped via USPS 1
st
class with tracking.
This original 1941 Ringling-Barnum complementary ticket has been priced to sell with a low opening bid.
