Antique German Fencing Foil Rapier Sword, Blade, Marked Coulaux Klingenthal  #3
Foil is under 36 1/4" in overall length
Blade is just about 28 1/2 inches; appears to have been shortened.
Handle is wood with some cordage remnants, definitely aged
One side of the foil is stamped a Crown at the base of the blade, a hallmark "Coulaux & C"   and further along the blade is a faint small "Made in Germany". See third picture right above bottle cap.
The other side has the hallmark followed by Klingenthal. there may be a partial crown near the base.
No tape on the tip.
Another interesting fact is the guard is around 7.5 cm in diameter.
Typically
these round guards are 20 cm. This guard falls inbetween the typical round guard and the typical
figure
eight guard. Passed on from a fellow eBayer.
Neat old blade
Blade has some bends
See pictures, pink is chalk dust, had a hard time reading the engravings.
I have three blades listed individually and if buy all three blades, they can be shipped in one box with a nice savings.
