    Description

    It is an exceptionally beautiful specimen of a Polish-Hungarian saber. It is called Batorowka from the name of the king of Poland, Stefan Batory (1576-1586).
    That kind of sabers was used in the
    17th century by Polish cavalry.
    It has a large, open hilt with a cross-shaped guard and a heavy blade only slightly curved.
    The saber is very solidly made and in good  condition.
    It is convenient for the fence as well as a nice ornament.

    Blade length approximately 30 inches,
    Blade width at its widest point 1.5 inches.
    Total weight 3,525 lb
    Weight without scabbard 2.374 lb.
    This saber was bought a few years ago at an antique military auction and marked as the original. I do not have a certificate of authenticity.
