I bought this kampilan some time ago with the intention of keeping it in my collection.  This is one of the pieces I would like to hold onto but I need to thin the collection.  The blade itself is very sold and a great example of the craftsmanship of the period.  I believe this is a moro kampilan.  I did my best to photograph the blade to show the effects I am seeing.

The geometry of the blade is somewhat unique.  It is wider at the blase than at the tip.  It also seems to be wider in the center than at either of the edges.  It feels light and maneuverable for a heavy blade. The blade has some chips in it and is not in great condition.  The tip is also slightly bent. The handle has some sort of wicker or rattan wrap nailed onto it.

I am not planning on shipping internationally so if you are an international bidder please contact me before bidding. I have the item listed as 10 days before I will ship, I travel a lot and I am not always home to ship the item.
