M1847 BRITISH DRAGOON CAVALRY SABER & SCABBARD

Description

E033M, Steel scabbard, 32.5" single edged steel blade slightly curved with 8" double edged point for thrusting. Steel knuckle guard and grip cap with braided wrapping. All sound, sealed at ricasso of the blade with PROVED inlay. Overall 37.5". Smooth brown patina on most surfaces, steel scabbard in good condition, has been polished up bright, has 2 rings probably a later replacement when the original got lost in action. Fine specimen, same type that served with the famous Light Brigade and the Bengal Lancers in the days of colonialism, very rare today, all original and complete, ship weight 5 pounds.
