I will post some photos of the cleaned scabbard shortly.
60% frosted silver remains on the Knight Head Pommel and floral cross guard with a stylized shield langet bearing a relief Masonic emblem.  Patina on silver Cross on grip.  Chain knuckle bow. 29.5" excellent blade etched with floral work and named.  Reverse similar with "South Shore Commandery".  Dark plum patina on heavily Silvered Scabbard.  Red Cross on 2 ring band and floral engraving.  Scabbard has been lightly scratched, but scratches should come out with polishing. We polished a small area of the Scabbard with Silver Polish and were so amazed with how it looked, that we tested it for true SILVER--
the ENTIRE SCABBARD IS SILVER
, but not marked.  Scabbard needs a Silver Polishing and will then be beautiful!  Original very thin pieces of wood meant to protect the blade are still inside the scabbard and slipped out, but we put them back in.
Blade is in AMAZING EXCELLENT CONDITION!!
Silver Scabbard weighs approximately 12 ounces.
