This is the third generation United States Army Officer's Saber. The blade of the sword has been significantly improved from the other generation sabers. In particular the etching of the blade is finer, deeper and more detailed. This is the finest Army Officer's Saber you will find in the sub 0 range. You will love the changes at the hand guard, sword tip and the etching. Etching is very clear and fine. There is no cutoff on the design.

Blade: The blade of the sword has been constructed from 440 Stainless Steel with partial false upper edge. The blade comes slightly sharpened. The acid etching in the blade is deep enough to feel, and finely detailed.
Scabbard: The scabbard of the sword has been constructed from 440 Stainless Steel with two suspension rings.
Guard: The guard of the sword is full wrap design constructed from 440 Stainless Steel. The pommel of the sword ends with a tang button. Handle: The handle of sword is black with grips. The back of the handle is the steel from the guard.
The Saber includes a storage bag but upon inspection, the storage bag is too short and does not cover most of the pommel.  It is likely to stretch over time but this is the one drawback of this item.
