    Description

    Rare European Loop Hilt Gentleman's Smallsword Circa mid-1800's
    At offer is a very Rare 18th Century Loop Hilt Gentleman's Smallsword circa 1700's.  It is all iron with what appears to be a cord wrapped grip.  There also appears to be some old glue at the top of the guard where it enters the pillow top pommel and possibly just above the guard where it meets the grip; I have no way of knowing when the glue was added.  The blade is just under 30" long and in very clean condition and overall the sword is just over 37". T he metal is all in good condition with a rich brown patina.
