he Schlitz 40-Horse Hitch was a parade spectacle created in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the 1970's. It was made up of 40 Belgian draft horses and an intricately designed bandwagon, and appeared at major events around the US. It was based on the design of wagons used in the 19th century as circus parade wagons, but became a display of amazing horsemanship with one man holding the reins of all 40 horses. Dick Sparrow drove the team which stretched out to 135 feet, which was an incredible feat!
