Short Sword

Made by "Hoag". I buy the Damascus Pattern steel blades from Pakistan and hand make and assemble the parts for the handle here in the USA. It's a real nice blade and looks beautiful. The handle feels fantastic in your hand. 1095 steel is heat treated, RC-55/58. I have smacked a blade from this batch on the side with a very powerful strike trying to break it and it did not break (I did not strike the one on sale here). Blade is sharp for 19 inches (long) with a 7 inch handle for a total of 25" not including sheath which is included in this sale. Sheath is made out of oak. The handle is made from cured hand cut oak from up state New York. Handle is hidden tang style and is pinned on with brass pins, it will not move or fall off- ever. Total weight is 3.8 pounds. Balance point is one inch in front of guard. It handles very nicely! It's a powerful sword. You'll love it.
Note: My goal was to make a strong battle sword so I purposely buy the Damascus pattern blade instead of the folded steel blade. Unknown to the average sword enthusiast is the fact that the more steel is folded the weaker a blade is. I do not want a weak blade but I love the Damascus pattern. What I am offering is a beautiful fully functional sword with a strong solid steel blade. You'll love the quality and you won't find another sword made like this!
