This is a beautiful Sudanese ,1880, Mahdi Iron Cross Guard Nile Crocodile Kaskara Broad Engraved Sword.
It’s a beautiful piece and it’s amazing shape.The blade is engraved with Koranic calligraphy.
The blade has surface issues that are due to age and there is no rust .
The sheath is in good shape with minor damage… it’s still holding together but is not perfect due to age .
The blade is roughly 25” in length
1 1/2” blade width
The handle is 4 1/2” long and a little over 1” wide around
