VERY RARE AND NICE PRUSSIAN SWORD, ENGRAVED BLADE, XIX, ORIGINAL

Description

Superb Prussian sword says '' à la Blucher ''. In force in the Prusian cavalry and infantry. Based on the 1811 model, which was used from the Napoleonic wars (especially in Waterloo) until the middle of the 20th century. This saber was largely inspired by the English model known as '' Model 1796 '', with the typical hilt shape and the curved blade, which is said to be wreaking havoc in the French army.

totally engraved on both sides, foliage and arms

the manufacturer's markings
in its custody, unfortunately difficult to read, as well as two hallmarks on the left edge

. The handle is in wood and in ray skin, filigree still present, missing the small straight rivet which does not detract from the beauty or the solidity of the piece. The scabbard is made of steel with two gilded brass rings just like the handle.
