Here is a superb Kindjal Cossack, made by Caucasian gunsmiths. The kindjal is a traditional Russian weapon, it can be called a large knife or a dagger. These superb pieces were most of the time made by local Caucasian craftsmen (Omarov, Guzunov ...) or official and necessarily more regulatory factories, such as the Zlatoust or Tula factory. Kindjals used widely in the Russian Empire until the end of it in 1917.
