The Prussian Navy (Preußische Marine) was the military navy of the Kingdom of Prussia. Its official existence extends from 1701 to 1867. It was later replaced by the Norddeutsche Bundesmarine, the Navy of the North German Confederation.
Prussian military power has always been primarily land-based; its maritime component, created from the foundation of the March of Brandenburg under the name of Brandenburg Navy, has never had an equivalent power.
