Historical context
:
Officer's shashka, model 1909. Replaces the officer's shashka model 1881, for all in campaign clothing. In parade gear, in addition to the cavalry of the guard, a certain number of units receive specific weapons, which we will see in the second part of this study. Mount. Rocket in blackened wood or in lacquered bakelite-style material, horizontally striated. The upper end is much more arched than on the 1881 model.
