Vintage Middle Eastern Made In India Curved Sword Scabbard w/Brass Handle

Middle Eastern (made in India) Curved Sword/Scabbard with Brass Handle and Green Velvet Sheath.
I'm cleaning out my late uncle's house and this was in storage. I do not know much at all about this sword. My understanding is that it is a ceremonial sword, but am uncertain its origin or original purpose, and I believe that it is at least 50-60 years old, but do not know with certainty. It is etched "Made n India" on one side; there are etchings on the other side but i cannot make out what it is. It shows age and wear, but is n overall good condition given its age.
The item has been kept in storage
in a home that was clean and smoke free.
